The first day is relaxed and tailored to your arrival time. You will be met at the airport and taken to the Dazzler Recoleta hotel, located in one of the city’s most convenient neighborhoods, where you can safely walk around, have dinner, and settle in at your own pace in your new surroundings.
All transfers are arranged in advance, regardless of your arrival time. If necessary, you can exchange cash for pesos in advance so that you have money for small expenses upon arrival.
After check-in, it’s time to rest and enjoy some free time. If you’d like, you can take a walk around the neighborhood, have dinner, or simply spend a quiet evening. This is a gentle start without any overwhelming schedule, allowing you to recover from the trip and ease into your journey.

We’ll start at Recoleta Cemetery—an architectural complex featuring mausoleums that house the final resting places of Argentina’s most prominent figures. Then we head to the city center: Plaza de Mayo, Casa Rosada, the Metropolitan Cathedral, Avenida de Mayo, and the Obelisk.
The itinerary is designed to give you a clear understanding of the city in a single day: how it’s organized, what makes it tick, and which places are key.

San Telmo is the city’s oldest neighborhood: colonial architecture, antique shops, narrow streets, and a more laid-back, “old-world” atmosphere.
In the afternoon—dinner at FOGÓN (Michelin Guide). The format is a tasting menu: several courses, various cooking techniques, and ingredients from different regions of the country. This is not a classic restaurant with a set menu, but a sequential gastronomic experience.

We’ll make stops along the way to take in the scenery and snap some photos. At some point, Fitz Roy and Cerro Torre will appear on the horizon—this is our first glimpse of the mountains that bring us here.
Upon arrival, we check into the hotel and have some free time. In the evening, we gather to discuss tomorrow’s trek: route options, difficulty level, gear, and meals. This allows everyone to understand their own pace in advance and hike at a comfortable speed.

The final section involves an uphill climb with significant elevation gain and is more physically demanding. However, the route remains flexible: you can reach the key points without climbing to the very top if you don’t feel up to it or lack the energy.
As a result, everyone completes the route at their own pace and gets the level of exertion that suits them. Return to the hotel—rest and recovery.

After the ride, we’ll have dinner on the estancia grounds. They’ll prepare Patagonian lamb over an open fire (asador), served with wine and several dishes.
The evening will be spent in a relaxed atmosphere: enjoying the food, conversation, and the ambiance of the place. We’ll return to the hotel in the evening.

Toward evening, we’ll head out of town to a cave featuring ancient rock paintings. It’s a mesmerizing location overlooking Lake Argentino.
Dinner will be served there: a multi-course meal, wine, and the sunset over the lake. It’s an intimate, unhurried experience. After dinner, we’ll return to the hotel.

Upon arrival, we’ll check into the hotel and have some free time.
Toward evening, we’ll head out of town to a cave featuring ancient rock paintings. It’s a mesmerizing location overlooking Lake Argentino.

Today we’re heading to Los Glaciares National Park to visit the Perito Moreno Glacier.
First, we’ll walk along the marked trails and visit the viewing platforms—from there, you’ll get different perspectives of the glacier and can comfortably watch the ice move and calve.
Then we’ll have lunch at a restaurant overlooking the glacier.
After lunch, we’ll take a boat tour: we’ll approach the glacier from the water to get a closer look at its scale.
In the afternoon, we’ll return to El Calafate. The evening is free: you can take a stroll through town, have dinner, or buy souvenirs.
To the next day

The rest of the day is for relaxation, acclimatization, and a quiet evening. The pace of the day has been intentionally slowed down after Patagonia and the flights.
